Review of TED talks and the articles

The internet use to be our hero that may allow us to get the imformation from the world without any limitation. It's quite a impossible thing in the last centry, the leaderships of every contries had the controls.
However, the time changed; the internet limit us right now. As Eli talked in TED, google and facebook and many of the other company limited the imformation. They are not allowed the people to see what was really happened which was hamful to their government. That was not the hoping from the people.
In my contry——China, people are not allowed to use facebook or etc; the government is kind afraid of the  truth are heard to people. They set the firewall that stop the imformation and block the way of Chinese people to get over it.
Some of the programs became personalized that create the user's own world. They made you fall in this, let you think it's a freedom and unlimination world, meanwhile a fake world that you can't get out of it.

  1. Good post! Yes, we have a same mother country and i agree with you that there are not allowing poeple to use facebook and the govenment is controlling a part of its information. The Internet has limited the connection of people and society. It's not we look foward to on the Internet. You describe the main point and with an example, but what is your feeling to this kind of phenomenon.

  2. You make a very interesting point in that, your home country China does not allow the access of facebook and possibly other contact related site. It seems like even with this difference from the U.S and other countries, there is a common aspect in which information is limited on the internet in different various ways. Just like you said in relation to forcing people to think you have freedom but is a fake world when it comes to creating the user's own world, it relates to the TED video because it mentions how the Google has control of what to show to us based on their algorithm, without us having any control of it.
